Case study · Scape3D

A 3D studio site that moves.

Scape3D is the 3D design and animation studio of artist Abdul Rafay: architectural renders, game-ready characters, product films and animated ads. Escenders designed, built and wrote the new scape3d.studio, and we host and look after it.

The brief

Work that has to be seen moving.

A 3D studio sells on its reel. Static thumbnails and a generic template undersell work that is built to move, and a slow, heavy page loses people before the first film plays.

Scape3D needed one site that presents five disciplines (architectural visualization, game art, animation, modelling and ads) without feeling like five sites, lets visitors watch the films, and makes it easy to send a brief.

What we built

Six pieces, one pipeline.

01

Live 3D hero

The headline sits inside a real-time 3D scene rendered in the browser with three.js, not a video loop.

02

Interactive viewport

Visitors orbit a model and switch between wireframe, clay, normals and final render, the way the studio reviews its own work.

03

23-film portfolio

Work is filtered by discipline. Films open in a player and load only when someone clicks, so the page stays light.

04

Made for phones

The 3D scene, the gallery and the enquiry form are laid out for small screens, not just shrunk down.

05

Copy that sells the work

We wrote every section, from the headline to the four-step process and the studio story.

06

Easy to keep current

Built on WordPress and Elementor so new work can be added without a developer. We host it and keep it updated.
